Real life: There is a pile of clothes on the chair in the background, our sheets and blankets were tangled on the bed because I didn’t make the bed that morning, and the air purifier just above my hand hasn’t been run in months.
Light – When Michael and I started dating, he told me he had 2 cats. I was a dog person, not a cat – or so I thought. Almost 12 years together, his cats are my cats too. I love our fur babies and they are a light in our lives. They teach us so much – especially about love. Today we found out this little man won’t be with us much longer as he has a tumor in his mouth. So trying to hang to the light he has given us.
I have a small collection of little boxes. Both of these little boxes hold memories for me. The bottom one with the painted Geisha on it was a gift many many years ago from someone I love. I remember opening it and feeling like this person will always know me. And even though we are not together anymore he does know me.
The top little gold box is my Mom’s. As a little girl, I would take the box and use it when I played barbie dolls. I would use at the foot of Barbie’s bed as a bench/trunk. Or sometimes I used it as a chair at the recipe box vanity I made for her.
